4Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.

The believers of Lao Shan Wei had been praying specifically for a place to hold revival meetings as their little church was too small to hold those who had already expressed a desire to attend. Not only did God answer their prayers, but He did so by casting the idols out of a large temple building.
Chen-Lao-Jung unsuccessfully tried many means―witch doctors, necromancers, Buddhist priests, etc.―to have his mother delivered from demon possession. He then asked Mr. Hsu, a Christian, to come pray for his mother. However, before Hsu would pray, he made Mr. Chen renounce and destroy all the household gods. Once that was done, and now having the attention of the entire community, Hsu prayed for the woman. In a move that was inspired by the action of the Apostles in the book of Acts, a missionary dares to walk on a sacred land amongst the Karo Batak. The land was said to contain evil spirits and anyone who walked on it will die. To the surprise of the villagers, the missionary did not die showing that Christ was above all. Many came to faith in Christ because of this action.
