When Amy Carmichael was told that a man living nearby was possessed by a demon, before going to pray with him, she prayed and fasted with her friend and on arriving at the scene prayed in the name of Jesus for his deliverance. It took a while, and just when she was regretting her coming, she heard the Lord and eventually the man was free and free indeed.
