Romans 8:1-3
There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

G. H Lang knew to confess his sins in order to obtain God's mercy. He knew the way of pardon, but was frustrated that he did not know the way of victory. Only by realizing that in his flesh dwelleth no good thing, did he gain the victory he so dearly needed.
