The Bakers were instructed by the Lord to give away all they had and to "go sit with the poor in Mozambique." In spite their personal plans and attainments, they obeyed the voice of God.
When Heidi witnessed Pastor Jose weeping bitterly, little did she know that his tears were tears of joy, joy borne out of a life of sacrifice. Despite his own poverty, he selflessly sold everything, including his home, to support others in need. Blessed with a new home, he continued his compassionate mission by using it to provide solace for homeless children.
