God using an inner voice to communicate

Aboard a ship with pirates, Marie was able to do without eating the meals of stolen food prepared by her captors, for she had another supply. Prior to boarding the ship, she heard the “still small voice” urging her to stock up and save food for “an emergency.”
After the insurance company he worked for was purchased by another firm, G.H Lang was offered a job by the new manager—with double the salary he was earning. Naturally, he would have taken the job, but He sought God's guidance and found that it wasn't a job he should take. He obediently declined the offer, and later on took another job with a much lower pay, but one that gave him—for the first time—the privilege of working with a fellow Christian as his employer.
Louisa Vaughan insisted that a deranged woman was mentally ill, not demon possessed. However, the fact that the woman was nearly physically incapable of saying the name of Jesus, combined with the fact that Miss Vaughan and her fellow workers independently heard the same thing from the Lord that “This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting,” convinced Miss Vaughan to recognize the woman's true condition.
Even while keeping up appearances by preaching and praying, Rosalind Goforth had secretly given in to the sin of unforgiveness. Her refusal to yield to the Inner Voice of God, instructing her to forgive, eventually left her feeling hopeless, alone, and distant from Him. She remained miserable until, at the urging of a friend to whom she had confessed, she wrote a letter of apology. God’s peace and presence returned.
After Fraulein Blücher’s conversion, she dedicated her life and resources to Kingdom service and opened a mission center, which soon became too small. The need for a bigger space brought her and her friends to God in prayer. While they were still praying, God sent a stranger to help meet the need.
Grace Jacob was doing her laundry when she suddenly felt God's presence and a need to urgently call Maggie. Hurriedly she sped off in obedience. Her call to Maggie at that very moment turned out to be crucial in saving the life of Maggie's son, Jeff.

While still weak, he received another “impulse” to walk two miles to an office where he had the impression he would receive funds, and he did. All these things were a powerful witness to a skeptical physician, who with tears said, "I would give all the world for a faith like yours."
Uong Nguyen had become a Christian but was still haunted by the past. At a church meeting he attended, the Lord's Spirit revealed with puzzling accuracy, his struggles to the preacher who he had never met before.
When twelve Eritreans were brought into the prison where Petr was being held, he was directed by the Lord to go share the gospel with them. That night, Petr obeyed, he shared his story with these emigrants and invited them to accept Jesus into their lives and all of them did. The very next morning they were transferred to another prison, but thankfully, they had confessed Christ as Lord already!
Floyd McClung and his team asked for clear direction from God. That night God impressed a certain Scripture—highly relevant to the situation—on Floyd's mind. That same night God gave the same Scripture to another team member as confirmation.
Stan Dale had been shot with about five arrows and death was the only thing that seemed imminent. But as he prayed and cried to God for help in his anguish, he heard the Lord whisper into his Spirit; that he will not die but live. The Holy Spirit engages Rees Howells, urging him to surrender his life completely, and back and forth, this engagement continued. On the fifth day, Rees finally said yes to Abundant life.
When the Holy Spirit told Rees Howells that a dying man would live, he did not communicate it with the certainty of faith. The Lord confronted him that night, and he returned the next day to communicate the message with conviction. It was a severe test of faith for Rees Howells, yet he believed God, and the man was healed.
After years of praying for the gospel needs of the Cambodian people, a cowboy had his prayers unusually interrupted one day. Soon, a Voice spoke to him and told him to change his prayer requests for his initial prayers had been answered! A few weeks later, he was able to confirm things for himself.
