God leads believers in opposition to idolatry
Acts 17:16–17 (ASV)
16Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he beheld the city full of idols. 17So he reasoned in the synagogue with Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace every day with them that met him.

The believers of Lao Shan Wei had been praying specifically for a place to hold revival meetings as their little church was too small to hold those who had already expressed a desire to attend. Not only did God answer their prayers, but He did so by casting the idols out of a large temple building.
Chen became a Christian after his mother was delivered from demonic oppression, after he first publicly burned all his household idols. He then left his business for a while to go learn more about the Gospel from Mr. Goforth, after which he returned to his home to teach others about Christ. He started a church and won souls into the Kingdom.
Three examples show the variety of motivations people had in giving to the orphanage work, from the giving up of idols in their lives, to the stern spiritual warning of Annanias and Saphira when one donor "kept back part of the price" after having promised it to the Lord.

Yang Sih-yong was a gambler and an opium addict, but when his wife and brother fell ill, his desperation led him to two Christians who offered to pray for them and also urged him to repent of his evil ways. They prayed, and God answered. Yang, his wife, and brother all became Christians.
In a move that was inspired by the action of the Apostles in the book of Acts, a missionary dares to walk on a sacred land amongst the Karo Batak. The land was said to contain evil spirits and anyone who walked on it will die. To the surprise of the villagers, the missionary did not die showing that Christ was above all. Many came to faith in Christ because of this action.
